About Wattuu
Wattuu (wattuu.nl) is a price-comparison site for energy hardware. Questions about privacy? Email us at privacy@wattuu.nl.
What we track
We use Umami, an open-source analytics tool that we run on our own servers, to understand how visitors use the site. Umami works without cookies and stores no personal data. No IP address is kept, and there is no tracker that follows you across other sites.
We measure:
- Which pages are visited and how often
- Which search engine or site you came from
- Country and device type (based on the browser — no location tracking)
- Clicks on links to shops (we record which shop, not who clicks)
All of this data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to an individual. No cookie consent is needed because there are no cookies or cross-site tracking.
We host Umami ourselves on infrastructure from Vercel and Neon, in an EU data centre (Frankfurt). The data therefore stays within the EU. More information about Umami: umami.is.
Links to shops
Wattuu contains links to external shops, sometimes via affiliate networks (Daisycon, TradeTracker). When you click such a link, you leave our site. The receiving shop is itself responsible for processing your data. We may receive a commission on a purchase, but get no personal information about you in return.
Accounts and forms
Wattuu has no user accounts and does not ask visitors to enter personal data. No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
